Meet Jenna. She's a my spokesmodel at Jackson High School and she's doing a fantastic job! We did her session at the city park and had so much fun. It was the first time I used the park for a session -- there are so many great places there!

We did Nissa & Dusty's engagement session down by the river. You can tell these two are truly happy together. Nissa works at my vet's office, so naturally, we had to include their dogs in their session!

Jill was referred to me by one of my 2009 Seniors, Cati. Jill was just as much fun to work with as Cati was. Jill has a gorgeous smile and she had trouble not showing it! But, by the end of the session she was rockin' the serious looks!

Here's a quick sneak peek from the Senior session I did this evening. Kelli, her mom and boyfriend and I had a lot of fun rummaging around downtown. It was so hot and muggy, but she always had a smile on her face! All her images are GREAT! It was so hard to choose just a few for this post.

Paul and Lyndsey kicked off my wedding season. They had a very beautiful wedding, but I cannot say the same for the weather that day. It was rainy and windy (tornadoes in the area) and just downright COLD! But, they were troupers and toughed out the weather. Congratulations!

55 South Entertainment

I recently had the amazing opportunity to do some work with local recording label, 55 South Entertainment. I got to do some head shots of the two guys that are the brains behind the operation! They are an absolute riot and had me laughing the entire time! I'm surprised we got any work done! Be sure to check out their website!

They also asked me to do some images of one of their signed artists, Taylor. She seemed completely at ease posing for the camera! Keep a lookout for this girl -- she's gonna be the next big thing! (Did I mention that she has a WONDERFUL voice!)

Catching Up!

Wow! Time has flown by since my last post! I promise to update more regularly from now own. This first little guy is just too cute! His session was a bit on the chilly side, but it was nice and sunny! We had a great time running around his his backyard and playing with his dog, Mollie!

Little Wyatt was an absolute joy to work with. I just loved his bright red hair and the natural twinkle in his eyes! I just bet he's a bunch of fun on Christmas morning! It was super cold the day of his session, so we had to do the majority of his session in the studio. But, that didn't stop our fun!

This next little guy is growing so fast! I started photographing him when he was just a week old!

Shelby had so many great ideas for her session. She had all her outfits planned perfectly. The location had so many different places to shoot! There were barns, tractors, old farm houses; all sorts of good stuff! My absolute favorite was the little pond we were at right at sundown. She was even up for walking into the pond, however she wasn't real thrilled when the mud starting oozing through her toes! I had a hard time deciding on my favorites, so I've posted a lot!

These two were great! The morning of their session was SO cold! They stopped for coffee on the way, so they had warm hands, at least. Before their session was over, we stopped by the local bar where they met, even though it's now closed. I am looking forward to shooting their wedding in a few months!

We had great weather for John's session! John brought along great clothing options and they went so well with all the locations. John is a HUGE fan of Starbucks, so we made a point to stop by there to get a few shots!

The last time I saw this little one she was still just a little baby bump. Even though her session was during her normal nap time, Olivia was a little trooper! She especially loved being her Halloween costume. She made quite the cute panda bear.

I had so much fun during Casey's session. I don't even know where to begin! We started out in the studio then we moved outside to her family's farm. That's where things really got exciting! This girl was lovin' her boots and wouldn't take them off. She even wore them with her prom dress! I could hardly decide which images to post on my blog.

This guy wasn't expecting to have quite so much fun during his senior session. We just ran around downtown looking for fun walls and neat alleys! And, we actually got him into a collared shirt. Which, according to his mother, isn't something that happens often!

A close friend recently got married and I was lucky enough to be able to take all the "preparation" photographs. Since I was a bridesmaid I wasn't able to photograph the whole day. The "preparation" photographs are my absolute favorite photographs to take of a wedding day, so I was very excited that I was able to take these for her. Here are some of my favorites from the day.

Over the past weekend I was given the opportunity to photograph the St. Louis Ballet as they performed The Sleeping Beauty*. As as former dancer, this was an amazing experience for me.

Last Saturday I traveled back to my hometown of Mt. Vernon, IL to photograph a first time mom-to-be. We got some great shots as she anxiously awaits the arrival of little Olivia.

Just before Christmas I had the pleasure of photographing little Noah. He was exactly a week old and couldn't have been cuter!
